Service Provision...

 

An STTR will need regular breaks throughout a booking. A ten minute break every one and half hours will be expected and this should be made known to the event organisers by the service user before the beginning of the session. Any refreshments that are provided to participants during an event should also be made available to the STTR.

A chair, small table and power supply should be provided for the use of the STTR. Any additional requirements, such as projectors etc should be discussed prior to the date of the event.

An STTR will transcribe all audible conversation in the room, except for private conversations. An STTR should not be asked to take a note of private conversations unless they involve the service user.

A first draft transcript of the event is available immediately at the conclusion of the session and can be either e-mailed or copied directly to a flash memory stick or similar. A record of the event will not be kept for more than 7 days. Any request for a transcript must be made prior to or on the day of the event. If a request is made after the date of the event it cannot be guaranteed that the file will still exist.

It is recommended that any documentation relevant to the event such as participants' lists, agendas, draft speeches etc should be made available to the STTR three days prior to the event as this can be used to improve the STTR's dictionary and provide a better note. Payment...

 

Invoices for services provided will be submitted within 1 to 3 days of the completion of the event. Payment must be made within 28 days of that date. An additional charge of 5% will be made for each day over the 28 days that payment is late.

Cancellation charges do apply: if a booking is cancelled within 0-7 days the full fee will apply; if it is cancelled between 8-14 days prior to the event a half fee will apply. Click here to see my fees
